Isle of May Just off the coast lies the isle of May. Ferries and Rib boats leave on day trips from Anstruther harbour take you out to this incredible island which is a national nature reserve for the magnificent puffin as well as guillemots, grey seals and many more rare species. The Firth of Forth is also home to a variety of fish for keen anglers to enjoy with the likes of Cod, Lythe, Mackerel, Pollock and Wrasse. Why not enjoy a swim in the clear waters during the summer months!


The Charleton Estate offers a unique location in order to experience the East Neuk of Fife and discover everything that the surrounding area has to offer.  The core path which runs through the golf course connects the Charleton & Balcarres estate offering endless woodland trails in glorious scenery right down to the sea.
Running along the coast you find the fishing villages of St Monans, Pittenweem, Anstruther and Crail. The closest coastal village of Elie offers water sports in the summer months and the Ship Inn offers a complimentary pick up/drop off bus service for those eating in the restaurant.
