Each lodge is designed to accommodate up to six guests, featuring two ground-floor bedrooms and a spacious mezzanine with flexible twin or double bed setups. Enjoy the convenience of high-speed fibre Wi-Fi throughout, as well as a fully-equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, and dishwasher for all your self-catering needs. The lodges all have an indoor wood-burning stove and outdoor fireplace, which doubles as a BBQ. All lodges also feature a wood-fired hot tub as well as an outdoor seating area sheltered under a canopy ensuring year-round enjoyment regardless of the weather.
On-site amenities include a sauna, available free of charge when booked, and mountain bikes for rent, perfect for exploring the scenic surroundings. Newly installed EV chargers can be found in the golf course carpark.
Located next to the Charleton Golf Course, our lodges are just a short drive from stunning beaches, picturesque fishing villages, and fantastic local restaurants and farm shops. The historic town of St. Andrews, known for its rich history and golf heritage, is only 20 minutes away.
We warmly welcome dogs in all our properties, so your four-legged friends can enjoy the adventure too.

Stone Cottages
Nestled within the grounds of the main house, originally built by William Adam in the 1740s, our charming stone cottages offer a peaceful countryside retreat steeped in history.
Each cottage features three bedrooms and is surrounded by woodland, creating a secluded and tranquil setting. Private enclosed gardens provide a safe and secure space for pets to explore and relax.
Guests are also welcome to enjoy walks on the estate grounds, including the beautiful Japanese garden, which is listed on Scotland’s Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes the national register of significant gardens.
The cottages are just a short walk from the golf course, making them an ideal base for both relaxation and outdoor pursuits.
Charleton Estate & Golf Course
With its magnificent panoramic views over the Firth of Forth, Charleton has been in the St.Clair family for over 300 years. Surrounded to the north, west and east by mature woodland and overlooking the sea the estate is a destination based on the modern expectations of travellers from golf, to food, to playing to sleeping and socialising whilst levering the authenticity of it's Scottish history. Whether you are staying in one of our stone cottages or our new contemporary Eco-lodges the amenities of golf, riding or woodland trails are easily accessible only a short walk away and only a short drive down to Elie beach offers plenty of activities for all the family.
The Charleton Golf Course offers a testing 18 hole (par 72) parkland course, boasting breathtaking views over the renowned Firth of Forth. The course is enjoying significant improvements, and whilst our new clubhouse developments take place we are offering golfers exceptional value for money.
This year marks an exciting new chapter for Charleton Golf Club. Our new Eco-Pavilion clubhouse is now open to all and
our winter investment program has included relining all bunkers with new sand added and upgrading our course maintenance equipment to enhance playability.
