Experience the Eco-Lodges!

Built from local Scottish timber with a grass roof, the lodges are nestled in natural woodland surroundings on the Charleton Estate adjacent to the Golf Course.

Take in the spectacular view overlooking the Firth of Forth while you lounge beside the indoor log burning stove or while bathing in your outdoor hot tub by the open fireplace on the outside deck.

Elie beach, only a short drive away, offers plenty of activities for all the family.

Our lodges are heated by renewable air source heat pumps and have underfloor heating and have a wood-burning stove.

Each lodge can accommodate up to six people. They have two bedrooms downstairs and a large mezzanine space upstairs with beds that can be set up as twin or double beds.

There is Wi-Fi throughout the properties and all lodges are fitted with a full self-catering kitchen including a large fridge/freezer, oven, microwave & dishwasher.

Most of the lodges have a wood-burning hottub.

Our eco-lodges create a unique experience for a sustainable escape back to nature!

All our residents receive 10% off golf tee times on the Charleton Golf Course.

Stone Cottages

Our stone cottages are located within the grounds of the main house which was built by William Adam in the 1740s with further extensions made by William Burn in 1833 and Sir Robert Lorimer in 1905.

The grounds, including a Japanese garden, are included on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland, the national listing of significant gardens.

The stone cottages have either 2 or 3 bedrooms and have enclosed gardens which are ideal for pets to securely roam around.

Charleton Estate & Golf Course

With its magnificent panoramic views over the Firth of Forth, Charleton has been in the St.Clair family for over 300 years. Surrounded to the north, west and east by mature woodland and overlooking the sea the estate is a destination based on the modern expectations of travellers from golf, to food, to playing to sleeping and socialising whilst levering the authenticity of it's Scottish history. Whether you are staying in one of our stone cottages or our new contemporary Eco-lodges the amenities of golf, riding or woodland trails are easily accessible only a short walk away and only a short drive down to Elie beach offers plenty of activities for all the family.

The Charleton Golf Course offers a testing 18 hole (par 72) parkland course, boasting breathtaking views over the renowned Firth of Forth. The course is enjoying significant improvements, and whilst our new clubhouse developments take place we are offering golfers exceptional value for money.
